Currently I'm in second year at Griffith University studying for a Bachelor of Photography, majoring in Creative Advertising and Marketing. Studying at Griffith allows me the opportunity to meet and work with so many like-minded  students.

Future aspirations and Career path

I have always been interested in photography, yet it was only when I completed a week of work experience at a photography business in high school that I became inspired. The most exciting thing about a photoshoot is the ability to explore new places, collaborate with others and to make inspiring and captivating images.

I hope to refine my skills throughout uni and receive more experience so that I can launch into the editorial fashion side of photography after graduating.

ABOUT ME

Academic Results

I completed a class at Griffith university in year 12 as well as maintaining my school subjects and receiving an OP of 8. The reason I did this was to ensure guarenteed entrance into university for after school. At university I have been maintaining a high GPA of 6.

Education

Grades 1-6 I completed at Narangba State School and grades 7-12 at Grace Lutheran College.

Industry Knowledge

At 17 years old, I received an internship at Style Magazine and have been working in collaboration with stylists, makeup artists and models ever since. I have helped out with numerous fashion shoots and weddings, photographed events and have photographed my own photoshoots.

Extra Curricular activities

My extra curricular activities include helping out at Redcliffe Youthspace and photographing local events.

Skills

Currently I have been managing a few social media pages for other businesses. I analyse the growth/fall of engagement in recent posts and run competitions/advertisements to boost likes and comments. I have helped to create spreadsheets and databases for the companies to analyse growth. These skills have been very useful in relation to my own my photography business aswell.

When shooting for photography assesment in studios, assistant photographers are always needed to help do simple tasks like light metering and holding reflectors. These are the tasks I have both helped out with and received help for. Through this I have been able to develop my ability to work effectively in groups.

By organising photoshoots I have to schedule dates, send information to all those involved and plan a combination of hair, makeup, outfit and location ideas. These experiences have really built on my leadership skills, allowing me to now organise larger groups of people.

Cultural Alignment

Over the past few years I've travelled to Japan, Vanuatu, Bali, Fiji, Thailand and New Zealand. My plan is to intergrate travelling with my photography and perhaps obtain a working VISA oversease to further develop my cultural understanding and experience in working in different countries.
